§ 135B.5A. 135B.5A Conversion relative to certain hospitals.

1. A conversion of a long-term acute care hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or psychiatric hospital as defined by federal regulations to a general hospital or to a specialty hospital of a different type is a permanent change in bed capacity and shall require a certificate of need pursuant to section 135.62. 2. A conversion of a critical access hospital or general hospital to a rural emergency hospital shall not require a certificate of need pursuant to section 135.62. 3.
