§ 12-15-2-2. Determination and certification of eligibility and effective date of assistance

Sec. 2. The county office shall determine eligibility and shall certify to the office at the time and in the manner required by the office a list of individuals who have been found eligible to receive Medicaid and the effective date for the payment of assistance under this chapter. The date must be one (1) month before the first day of the month in which the application or request is made.

Sec. 2. The county office shall determine eligibility and shall certify to the office at the time and in the manner required by the office a list of individuals who have been found eligible to receive Medicaid and the effective date for the payment of assistance under this chapter. The date must be:
(1) not earlier than one (1) month before the first day of the month in which the application or request is made for individuals eligible under IC 12-15-44.5; and
(2) not earlier than two (2) months before the first day of the month in which an application or request is made for any other individual not described in subdivision (1).
