§ 57.

Prohibition on retaliation. (a) An employer, or agent or officer of an employer, violates this Act if he or she takes an adverse action against, or in any other manner discriminates against, any person because that person has: (1) exercised a right under this Act; (2) made a complaint to the minor's employer or to the Director, or the Director's authorized representative; (3) caused to be instituted or is about to cause to be instituted any proceeding under or related to this Act; (4) participated in or cooperated with an investigation or proceeding under this Act; or (5) testified or is about to testify in an investigation or proceeding under this Act. (b) An employer, or agent or officer of an employer, does not violate this Act if he or she discharges a minor from employment because the employment was found to be unlawful or the Department suspended or revoked the minor's employment certificate.
