§ 10-30.

Expiration, renewal, and continuing education. (a) License expiration dates, renewal periods, renewal fees, and procedures for renewal of licenses issued under this Act shall be set by rule of the Department. An entity may renew its license by paying the required fee and by meeting the renewal requirements adopted by the Department under this Section. (b) All renewal applicants must provide proof as determined by the Department of having met the continuing education requirements by the deadline set forth by the Department by rule. At a minimum, the rules shall require an applicant for renewal licensure as an auctioneer to provide proof of the completion of at least 12 hours of continuing education during the pre-renewal period established by the Department for completion of continuing education from schools approved by the Department, as established by rule. (c) The Department, in its discretion, may waive enforcement of the continuing education requirements of this Section and shall adopt rules defining the standards and criteria for such waiver. (d) (Blank). (e) The Department shall not issue or renew a license if the applicant or licensee has an unpaid fine or fee from a disciplinary matter or from a non-disciplinary action imposed by the Department until the fine or fee is paid to the Department or the applicant or licensee has entered into a payment plan and is current on the required payments. (f) The Department shall not issue or renew a license if the applicant or licensee has an unpaid fine or civil penalty imposed by the Department for unlicensed practice until the fine or civil penalty is paid to the Department or the applicant or licensee has entered into a payment plan and is current on the required payments.
