§ 49-726.
insurance, licensing, and registration. Electric-assisted bicycles are not subject to the provisions of section 49-301 , Idaho Code, relating to driver’s licenses. An electric-assisted bicycle and any person operating an electric-assisted bicycle are not subject to the provisions of this title relating to financial responsibility, driver’s licenses, titles, registration, and license plate requirements. An electric-assisted bicycle shall be considered a motor vehicle to the extent required by 23 U.S.C. 154.
