§ 82709. Right to Place Conservatee in Medical or Other Facility, Notice
to Investigating Officer.
A conservator appointed pursuant to this Chapter shall have the right, if
specified in the court order, to place his conservatee in a medical psychiatric,
nursing, or other facility, or a hospital, a United States government hospital,
or other non-medical facility approved by the Department. If the conservatee
is not to be placed in his own home or the home of a relative, first priority
shall be to placement in a suitable facility as close as possible to his home or
the home of a relative. Before doing so, the conservator shall inform the
officer providing conservatorship investigation and shall, if requested by the
officer, submit his conservatee to an evaluation pursuant to this Title to
determine whether such action is necessary.
