§ 78117. Requirement of Cooperation by Government Agencies and

Departments.

Any official or employee of the Department and all other government

employees and officials shall, except as expressly prohibited by law

subsequent to this Act, respond promptly to any and all reasonable requests

for information, for participation in meetings and evidentiary hearings, and

for access to data and records for the purpose of enabling the Commission

to carry out its responsibilities under this Chapter. The failure by any

official or employee of the Department or by any government employee or

official to comply with such requests for information, participation, or

access shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine of

not more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) or by imprisonment for

not more than one (1) year, or both.
