§ 77107. Same: Duties.

The Commission shall have the following duties:

(a) To recommend to the Governor the appointment of

the Director, who shall serve at its pleasure, the affirmative

vote of not less than four (4) members being necessary to

recommend his or her appointment or removal;

(b) To advise the Director on such matters relative to the

Department as he shall bring before it, at meetings called by

him;

(c) To meet at the request of any of its members to

discuss such matters relative to the Department as it deems

appropriate and to make recommendations to the Director

thereon; and

(d) To make a report to the Governor and the Legislature

not later than July 1 of each year delineating the activities of

the Department during the preceding fiscal year, and

outlining the plans of the Department for the coming fiscal

year.
