§ 7118. Chapter Not Applicable.
(a) The requirements of this Chapter, or of any standard, rule or
regulation pursuant thereto, for medical and nursing services shall not apply
to any home operated by or exclusively for the members of a religious order
or denomination whose tenets forbid subjection of the person to the
ministrations of practitioners of medicine or related nursing care, or include
reliance on spiritual means alone through prayer for healing. All other
provisions of this Chapter and of any such standards, rules and regulations
shall be fully applicable to such nursing homes.
(b) Any nursing home which considers itself eligible for the
exemptions provided in this Section shall so state on its application for a
nursing home license, and on any application for renewal thereof; and shall
inform each applicant for admission to patient status therein of the auspices
under which the home is operated and of the meaning thereof with respect
to the availability of medical and nursing services.
