§ 63300. Appointment.

No person shall be appointed and commissioned or warranted as an officer of the Guam National

Guard unless he shall be qualified for immediate Federal recognition in the grade to which he is to be

appointed and approved by the Adjutant General. If a person so appointed shall fail to receive Federal

recognition when first recommended, her/his appointment and commission or warrant shall be terminated

promptly. Subject to Federal regulations, and at the discretion of the Adjutant General, such person may be

reappointed and commissioned or warranted and submitted for Federal recognition one (1) additional time

after the passage of one (1) year from the date Federal recognition was denied.
