§ 33102. Purposes.
This Chapter shall be construed and applied to advance its
underlying purposes, which are:

(a) To promote, serve, and protect the public interest;
(b) To clarify and modernize the law governing
notaries; and
(c) To make uniform notarial laws among the
jurisdictions enacting it.
