§ 1301. Establishment.

There is hereby established within, and as a division of the Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport

Authority, Guam, an Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Unit. The underlying purposes and policies of the

Act are to acknowledge that the GIAA has the duty to operate and maintain the Antonio B. Won Pat Guam

International Air Terminal and related facilities for civil aviation purposes on Guam, and that an Aircraft

Rescue and Fire Fighting Unit is required to provide for: rescue and lifesaving; safety of persons, equipment

and facilities; and firefighting and salvage of equipment and cargo.
