§ 44-5-131. Applicability to transfers made after July 1, 1990.
This article applies to a transfer within the scope of Code Section 44-5-112 made after July 1, 1990, if: The transfer purports to have been made under former Article 5 of this chapter, known as "The Georgia Gifts to Minors Act"; or The instrument by which the transfer purports to have been made uses in substance the designation "as custodian under the Uniform Gifts to Minors Act" or "as custodian under the Uniform Transfers to Minors Act" of any other state, and the application of this article is necessary to validate the transfer.
