§ 20-18-5. Funds.

All funds appropriated by the General Assembly for the establishment and operation of the Center for Rural Prosperity and Innovation, together with any funds which may be appropriated by the United States Congress or apportioned to this state from the United States Department of the Treasury for purposes substantially the same as specified in this chapter, shall be paid to the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia and then forwarded to the Center for Rural Prosperity and Innovation for its work, provided that the board of regents formally presents to the Governor its acceptance of the conditions of this chapter. (Code 1981, § 20-18-5 , enacted by Ga. L. 2018, p. 142, § 2/HB 951; Ga. L. 2019, p. 1056, § 20/SB 52.) The 2019 amendment, effective May 12, 2019, part of an Act to revise, modernize, and correct the Code, substituted "provided that the board of regents" for "provided that the Board of Regents".
