§ 12-8-24. 3. Notification of contaminant release from landfill.
The owner or operator of a municipal solid waste landfill shall notify the local governing authorities of any city and county in which such landfill is located of any release from the site of such landfill of a contaminant which is likely to pose a danger to human health. In addition, such owner or operator shall cause notice of such release to be published in the legal organ of the county in which such landfill is located. Compliance with the requirements of this Code section shall occur within 14 days of confirmation of such release by the division. (Code 1981, § 12-8-24.3 , enacted by Ga.
