§ 43-6-11. 2. Expiration of licenses; waiver of continuing education requirement; rules and regulations.

Licenses for auctioneers shall expire biennially as provided in Code Section 43-1-4. The commission shall be authorized to require persons seeking renewal of an auctioneer's license under this chapter to complete commission approved continuing education of not more than eight hours biennially. The commission shall be authorized to waive the continuing education requirement in cases of hardship, disability, or illness or under such other circumstances as the commission deems appropriate. The commission shall be authorized to promulgate rules and regulations to implement and ensure compliance with the requirements of this Code section. This Code section shall apply to each biennial renewal cycle which begins after the 1990-1991 renewal. (Code 1981, § 43-6-11.2 , enacted by Ga. L. 1991, p. 799, § 1.)
