§ 16-7-84. Distribution of certain materials to persons under 21 years of age.
It shall be unlawful for any person to distribute or to offer to distribute a destructive device, explosive, poison gas, or detonator to any person who is under 21 years of age. Any person convicted of a violation of this Code section shall be punished, in the case of an individual, by imprisonment for not less than one nor more than three years or by a fine of not more than $10,000.00 or both or, if the defendant is a corporation, by a fine of not more than $20,000.00 or not fewer than 3,000 hours of community service or both. (Code 1981, § 16-7-84 , enacted by Ga. L. 1996, p. 416, § 3.) Code Commission notes. - Pursuant to Code Section 28-9-5, in 1996, a semicolon was deleted following "$10,000.00" in subsection (b).
