§ 14-2-740. Definitions.

As used in this part, the term: "Derivative proceeding" means a civil suit in the right of a domestic corporation or, to the extent provided in Code Section 14-2-747, in the right of a foreign corporation. "Shareholder" includes a beneficial owner whose shares are held in a voting trust or held by a nominee on the owner's behalf. (Code 1981, § 14-2-740 , enacted by Ga. L. 1988, p. 1070, § 1.)
