§ 218.411. Authorization for state technical and advisory assistance.

(1) The board is authorized, upon request, to assist local governments in investing funds that are temporarily in excess of operating needs by: (a) Explaining investment opportunities to such local governments through publication and other appropriate means. (b) Acquainting such local governments with the state’s practice and experience in investing short-term funds. (c) Providing, in cooperation with the Department of Commerce, technical assistance to local governments in investment of surplus funds. (2) The board may establish fees to cover the cost of such services, which shall be paid by the unit of local government requesting such service. Such fees shall be deposited to the credit of the appropriation or appropriations from which the costs of providing the services have been paid or are to be charged.
