§ 34-2401.03. Water supply; rules and regulations.
34-2401.03Full power is given to the Mayor of the District of Columbia to supply the inhabitants of the District with the Potomac water from the aqueduct mains or pipes laid in the streets and avenues by the United States; and to the Council of the District of Columbia to make all laws and regulations for the proper distribution of the same, subject to the provisions of this chapter, and to the control of the Chief of Engineers, as provided in § 51 [revised; see now 40 U.S.C. § 9502 ] of Title 40, United States Code. The supply of Potomac water may be extended to points in the District beyond the limits of Washington upon like terms and conditions as are provided by law for the supply of the same in that city.
