§ 7-736.04(Perm). Establishment of the grocery access pilot grant program.

In Fiscal Year 2025, the Department of Health shall establish a grocery access pilot grant program for the purpose of providing up to 1,000 eligible District residents with membership in a grocery delivery service at no cost for one year.
To be eligible to participate in the pilot program, an applicant shall:
Be a resident of the District; and
Be enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education ("SNAP-Ed") program.
The Department of Health shall give preference to an applicant who lives in an "eligible area" as that term is defined in .
At the conclusion of the one-year pilot program, the Department of Health shall incorporate the data collected in the program in their SNAP-Ed program.
The data collected pursuant to subsection (c) of this section shall be made available to the Council upon request.
