§ 80620. The department may adopt regulations to implement this chapter as emergency regul

(a) The department may adopt regulations to implement this chapter as emergency regulations. The Office of Administrative Law shall consider the situation addressed by those regulations to be an emergency for purposes of Section 11349.6 of the Government Code. (b) Notwithstanding the time period specified in subdivision (e) of Section 11346.1 of the Government Code, the emergency regulations adopted or amended pursuant to this section shall be repealed 180 days after the effective date of the regulations, unless the secretary or the department readopts those regulations, in whole or in part, in compliance with Chapter 3.5 (commencing with Section 11340) of Part 1 of Division 3 of Title 2 of the Government Code.
