§ 78501. Unless the context otherwise requires, the following definitions govern the const
Unless the context otherwise requires, the following definitions govern the construction of this division: (a) âBay-deltaâ means the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Estuary. (b) âBoardâ means the State Water Resources Control Board. (c) âCALFEDâ refers to a consortium of five state agencies, including the Resources Agency, the department, the Department of Fish and Game, the California Environmental Protection Agency, and the board, and five federal agencies, including the United States Department of Interior, the United States Bureau of Reclamation, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the National Marine Fisheries Service, with management and regulatory responsibilities in the bay-delta. (d) âClean Water Actâ means the federal Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C.A. Sec. 1251 et seq.) and includes any amendments thereto. (e) âCommitteeâ means the Safe, Clean, Reliable Water Supply Finance Committee created pursuant to Section 78693. (f) âDeltaâ means the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. (g) âDepartmentâ means the Department of Water Resources. (h) âFundâ means the Safe, Clean, Reliable Water Supply Fund created pursuant to Section 78505.
