That portion of awarded service credit based on previously refunded accumulated retirement contributions or on permissive service credit may not be used by the member for eligibility requirements until the member has redeposited or purchased his or her portion of the service credit. The memberâs service retirement allowance shall be calculated based on the service credit in the memberâs account on the effective date of service retirement.
