§ 8-6-202. Purpose.
It is the purpose of this subchapter and it is declared to be the policy of this state to regulate the collection and disposal of solid wastes in a manner that will: Protect the public health and welfare; Prevent water or air pollution; Prevent the spread of disease and the creation of nuisances; Conserve natural resources; and Enhance the beauty and quality of the environment.
