§ 6-64-214. Employment of relatives.
No person related by affinity or consanguinity within the first degree to any member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas shall be employed in the University of Arkansas in any capacity. However, the provisions of this subsection shall not be applicable with respect to any person who is already employed by the university as of March 21, 1985, or at the time a relative becomes a member of the board, or to any student doing work at the university. The secretary of the board is prohibited from drawing a warrant in favor of any such relative and shall be liable on his or her bond for any violation of this provision.
