§ 6-17-2602. Definitions.
As used in this subchapter: “Educational setting” means the employment setting where the licensed employee works, including without limitation: A public or private school; An institution of higher education; An education service cooperative; The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education; An adult education setting; or Another agency or organization that employs licensed teachers for educational purposes; “Professional development” has the same meaning as the meaning given to the term under § 6-17-704; and “Teaching experience” means the experience gained while working in an educational setting as a teacher, librarian, counselor, administrator, educational consultant, substitute teacher, or other licensed employee.
