§ 6-16-147. Computer science — Required course offering.
Beginning in the 2015-2016 school year, a public high school or public charter high school shall offer at least one (1) computer science course at the high school level. A computer science course offered by a public high school or public charter high school shall: Be of high quality; Meet or exceed the curriculum standards and requirements established by the State Board of Education; and Be made available in a traditional classroom setting, blended learning environment, online-based, or other technology-based format that is tailored to meet the needs of each participating student.
