§ 5-68-301. Legislative declaration.

The General Assembly finds and declares that: The definition and regulation of obscenity are matters of statewide concern; In defining and regulating obscenity, a statewide standard is workable; and There is a need for clarification of the applicable law relating to the definition and regulation of obscenity. To this end, it is the intent of this subchapter to impose a statewide standard for the definition and regulation of obscenity that is applicable throughout the state and all political subdivisions. No political subdivision shall enact any ordinance, rule, or regulation in conflict with a provision of this subchapter.
