§ 12-9-114. Training concerning sexual assaults.
The Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training shall require all law enforcement officers to complete a minimum of twenty (20) hours of training concerning sexual assaults as a part of the basic police training course curriculum. Practicum training will be sufficient for this requirement. At a minimum, the training shall cover the following topics: The dynamics of sexual assault; The laws concerning sexual assault; Sexual assault victim interview techniques; and Support services available to sexual assault victims.
