§ 46.5003. Human trafficking of a minor.
(a) Any person who causes, induces, or persuades, or attempts to cause, induce, or persuade, a person who is a minor to perform forced labor or services, or to engage in a commercial sex act, or both, is guilty of human trafficking as a Class A felony. The sentence of imprisonment must include a prison term of at least 10 years. This prison term is served without probation or parole. (b) Consent by a victim of human trafficking who is a minor at the time of the commission of the offense is not a defense to a criminal prosecution under this section. (c) Mistake of fact as to the age of a victim of human trafficking who is a minor at the time of the commission of the offenses is not a defense to a criminal prosecution under this section.
