§ 32.0333. Deductions from wages.
It is unlawful for any person to deduct and return any part or portion of any compensation earned by any employee except where required by a Federal or Territorial statute or by court process or when such deductions are authorized in writing by the employee, provided that deductions for fines may not be so authorized. Case Notes: It is generally unlawful to garnish more than 25% of an individual’s disposable earnings, or to deduct earnings unless the employee has agreed in writing. 15 U.S.C. § 1673; A.S.C.A. § 32.0333.
