§ 31.0601. Board
(a) The Board of Registration for Professional Surveyors is created. The Board membership shall consist of the Director of Public Works who shall serve as chairman, and 4 members appointed by the Governor with the approval of the Senate. (b) The term of the appointed members shall be 3 years. No member may be reappointed to the Board for 2 years after the expiration of his term. (c) If possible, the members appointed by the Governor should be familiar with land surveying either by profession, related occupations or a demonstrated interest in land surveying. (d) Three members of the Board shall constitute a quorum and a majority vote of those present is sufficient to decide any issue. (e) No member of the Board who is an employee of the government may offer to perform land surveying services for pay except as may be specifically approved by the Board in each in-stance. Amendments: 1974 Amended section generally. 1979 deleted Attorney General as ex officio member.
