§ 31.0316. Course and examination.

(a) Every applicant for a notary commission shall take, within the 3 months preceding the application, a course of instruction of at least 3 hours approved by the Secretary, and pass a written examination of this course. (b) The content of the course and the basis for the written examination shall be notarial laws, procedures, and ethics.
