§ 18.0101. Park and recreation commission

(a) There is established within the executive branch of the government the parks and recreation commission, which consists of 5 members appointed by the Governor for terms of 2 years, except that the fourth and fifth initial appointees shall serve for one year only in order to establish staggered terms. (b) Officials of the government may be appointed to the commission. (c) All appointees may be reappointed to the commission. (d) All appointees may be removed from the commission by the Governor for cause; provided, that, the majority of the commission concurs in the cause offered.
