§ 2.0401. Election of officers—Oath required
(a) Elective officers of the Legislature must be elected by secret ballot, and by a majority of all the votes cast, at the opening of the Legislature. Before entering upon their duties, they shall take and subscribe the oath prescribed by the Constitution of American Samoa. (b) Neither the Senate nor the House may transact any business, other than the election of officers, before such officers are elected.
