§ 44.12.066. Susan Butcher Day.
Susan Butcher Day is established on the first Saturday of March of each year, the traditional start date of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, to honor Susan Butcher, a loving mother, devoted wife, world-class athlete, determined competitor, true Alaskan, and four-time Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race champion.
